Even if both sides agree to the terms of a divorce, you should probably still retain an attorney.

Although family law looks really easy to navigate through, it’s not. There are a lot of procedural rules and very specific local court rules you need to adhere to, to get through the process.

So even though you’ve agreed on the terms of a divorce, you still should retain an attorney to get through the process quickly and efficiently. You might spend a little bit money up front, but in the long term you’ll end up saving yourself a lot of time and aggravation.
